sources rather than one, throwing a beam upwards and a beam downwards from a single compact body. The result on a wall is a pair of soft triangular washes above and below the fitting, which gives a flat surface depth and shape instead of one round pool of light.

The shell is aluminium and the fitting is waterproof and IP65 rated, so the same light can be used on an exterior wall or indoors. That dual use is genuinely practical: the fitting is at home on a porch or a garden wall, and equally at home on a stairwell, a bedside wall, a hallway or a loft-style living room, which makes it easy to carry one look through a property.

Three colour temperatures are offered so the light can be matched to where it is going: natural white at 4000K, warm white in the 2700 to 3500K range, and cool white in the 5500 to 7000K range.

Design & Style

The fitting is a small, plain rectangular block with no visible ornament, so the design intention is that you notice the light on the wall rather than the fixture producing it. That restraint is what makes the up and down effect work; a more decorative housing would compete with the beams it creates.

Aluminium suits this format for two reasons. It keeps the body slim, since a cast or extruded section can hold crisp edges at a small size, and it draws heat away from the LEDs, which matters in a sealed fitting with no airflow around the light source.

Lighting & Atmosphere

The beam angle is 60 degrees, which is tight enough to keep the two washes distinct rather than merging them into general light. Along a corridor or up a stairwell, a run of these creates a repeating pattern of light and shade that gives the space rhythm. Beside a bed or a seating area, the upward and downward spill gives usable light without a lamp glaring straight into the room.

Colour temperature changes the character completely, so it is worth choosing deliberately. Warm white in the 2700 to 3500K range is the softest and most relaxed, and is the natural choice for bedrooms, living rooms and outdoor seating. Natural white at 4000K is neutral and clean, which suits hallways, stairs and modern interiors, and reads well against grey or white walls. Cool white in the 5500 to 7000K range is the crispest and most functional, better suited to exterior walls, garages and utility positions than to a bedroom. The colour is set by the variant you order.

Where It Works Best

Indoors, the natural positions are stairwells, hallways, bedside walls, living room feature walls and any surface where a soft graphic light effect is more useful than broad illumination. The manufacturer rates the fitting for a lighting area of around 10 to 15 square metres, which is a realistic guide to what a single unit contributes rather than a claim to light a whole room on its own.

Outdoors, the fitting suits a porch, a garden wall, a balcony, a terrace or a doorway. Because it is waterproof and IP65 rated, it does not have to be sheltered under a canopy. Textured surfaces such as brick, render or stone show the two beams most clearly, since the grazing light reveals the surface as it passes over it.

Practical Use

The fitting is mains wired and runs on a wide 90 to 260V AC supply, with the LEDs built in rather than replaceable, and it is not dimmable, so light level is fixed by the version chosen. The LED is rated at over 10,000 hours of service.

The most useful planning decision is height and spacing. Mounted at a consistent height along a wall or up a staircase, the fittings look deliberate; mounted at varying heights they look accidental. Leaving clear wall above and below each fitting lets both beams develop fully, so avoid positions tight under a ceiling, a soffit or a shelf where one of the two beams is simply cut off.

Two light sources producing an upward and downward beam from one body

60 degree beam angle for a defined light pattern on the wall

Aluminium shell, IP65 rated and suitable for indoor or outdoor use

Choice of natural white 4000K, warm white 2700-3500K or cool white 5500-7000K

Wide 90 to 260V AC supply

Integrated LED rated at over 10,000 hours

Rated for a lighting area of around 10 to 15 square metres

Produced in the series from 2W to 12W

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1098/0622/3699/files/generated_4a0e18b4-d79a-45b3-bdfe-b292c1fb3d77.png?v=1787697450
https://elumalighting.store/products/led-wall-light-outdoor-waterproof-ip65-porch-garden-wall-lamp-indoor-bedroom-bedside-decoration-lighting-lamp-aluminum
