Rather than throwing light in one direction, it illuminates through 360 degrees, so a single fitting on a pillar lights the approach from every side instead of leaving the back of the structure dark.

It runs entirely on solar power, charging wirelessly through the day and drawing on that charge in the evening, with a full day of charging supporting up to six to twelve hours of light. Control is by a manual switch, which means the light is on when you want it on rather than triggering automatically, and nothing has to be reset when the seasons change.

The body is ABS with IP65 waterproof protection, built for continuous outdoor use through rain, damp and strong sun. Because there is no wiring involved, the light can be installed on a boundary pillar or a gateway a long way from the house without any electrical work at all.

Design & Style

The intention behind the shape is to give a post or pillar a clean finished top rather than to add a decorative lantern to it. Sitting flush on the structure, the lamp reads as part of the pillar during the day and as a soft glowing cap after dark, which suits contemporary walls, villa gates and rendered piers particularly well.

Four styles are offered so the lamp can be matched to the structure it sits on. Three are variations of the Cornucopia design, listed as F100, F150 and F200, and the fourth is the Y140 Sky Eye. The style you choose is fixed at the point of ordering, so on a gateway with two matching pillars it is worth ordering the same style for both sides.

Lighting & Atmosphere

Multiple light colour options are available, including white, warm and neutral light, which lets the same fitting suit very different settings. White is the crispest and most functional, and reads well on a modern rendered wall or a driveway entrance. Warm light is softer and more yellow, which flatters brick, stone and planting and is the easier choice near a seating area. Neutral light sits between them and is the safe option where a boundary runs past several different surfaces.

Output is in the 60 to 249 lumen range, which places this as practical night-time visibility lighting and a decorative finish for a pillar, rather than a floodlight for a driveway. That is the appropriate level for a boundary: enough to see the gateway, the step and the path, without glare across the garden.

Where It Works Best

Natural positions are garden walls, villa and courtyard gates, driveway pillars, boundary piers, fence posts and entrance columns. The 360 degree output makes it especially suitable for a freestanding pillar that is approached from more than one side, such as a gate post seen from both the drive and the garden.

As with any solar fitting, position determines performance. The lamp needs to sit where direct sunlight reaches it for a good part of the day, so a pillar under a mature tree or in the permanent shadow of a building will not give the same run time as one in the open. A gateway or boundary wall is usually one of the sunniest places on a property, which is part of why solar works well in this format.

Installation & Practical Use

The light is supplied for assembly and fixes directly to the top of the post or pillar, with no cable, no supply and no electrical work. That makes it a realistic option for a rented property, a boundary far from the house, or a wall where chasing in a cable would mean damaging the finish.

Because the control is a manual switch rather than a sensor, the light is straightforward and predictable: switched on, it runs from the charge stored that day; switched off, the charge is held. Turning it off during a run of dull weather is a practical way to build the battery back up before an evening when you want it working. Keeping the top surface clean of dust, leaves and moss is the main ongoing maintenance, since anything sitting on the panel reduces the charge going into the battery.

360 degree illumination from a single post cap fitting

Solar charging with no wiring or mains supply required

Up to 6 to 12 hours of light after a full day of charging

Multiple light colour options including white, warm and neutral

Manual switch control

IP65 waterproof ABS construction for continuous outdoor use

Four styles available: F100, F150 and F200 Cornucopia and Y140 Sky Eye

Suited to garden walls, gate pillars, courtyards and fence posts

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1098/0622/3699/files/9097245f-0b36-44a8-bd17-6c99d37ba56e.png?v=1787836417
https://elumalighting.store/products/solar-post-light-easy-to-install-solar-pillar-light-waterproof-garden-post-lamp-360-illumination-outdoor-lighting-for-courtyard
